ORFITRANS® STIFF is the material of choice for prosthetic trial sockets that must withstand intensive and prolonged use. This thermoplastic offers extreme rigidity and impact resistance that make it virtually indestructible. It is the ideal solution for testing device fit over a long period, without compromising quality or clarity.

ORFITRANS® STIFF is designed not to break, crack, or shatter, even in the event of a fall or during drilling. Its incredible shock resistance and high rigidity ensure that the device can be used for long-term applications as a functional trial socket, providing unmatched peace of mind.

The socket made with ORFITRANS® STIFF remains transparent (with a slight bluish tint), allowing prosthetists to perfectly visualize the limb inside the device. This transparency is essential for checking proper adaptation, alignment, and contact points throughout the trial period.

The material is non-sticky, which simplifies the finishing work after molding.
Activation is carried out at a standard temperature of 160°F.
The product is delivered with a protective polyethylene film which must be removed before placing it in the oven.
